PreMan field notes

From git push to verified repair.

Practical writing for the release loop that shows what changed, which endpoints broke, who may feel it, and how to ship a reviewable fix.

The operating model

One release. Six connected stages.

The loop begins with the code you push and stays open through production. PreMan prepares fixes as verified pull requests; your team still reviews and ships them.

  1. 01

    Git push

Start an evidence trail from the exact release candidate.

  2. 02

    Detect API changes

Map code and contract changes to the endpoints they can alter.

  3. 03

    Test affected endpoints

Exercise the changed paths and their highest-risk edge cases.

  4. 04

    Find impacted customers

Connect failing paths to the accounts and workflows at risk.

  5. 05

    Generate a verified fix

Open a reviewable PR with the patch, tests, and evidence.

  6. 06

    Monitor production

Watch the release and open a new fix PR when fresh errors appear.
